About the class
Stories can be used to inform public opinion and behavior, to advocate for policy change, for community organization, and for reflection and healing. In this course, we examine how narrative approaches and digital storytelling can be used as a compelling mechanism for promoting population health and wellness. Participants will also learn how to use digital tools and media to produce effective health messaging and communication that benefits a local community organization or initiative.
This course provides a collaborative online international learning (COIL) experience. Students at UW Bothell will engage in dialogue, collaboration and story sharing with students at Waterford Institute of Technology in Waterford Ireland.
