1. Reading about and reflecting (via our class blog) on digital storytelling in health promotion.
2. Finding and sharing compelling examples of storytelling for health promotion (see Collaboration).
3. Intro to Storytelling: Create and share an "I am from" visual poem (see example poem below), video, Powerpoint, poster, or blog (see above directions) as well as view examples on our Padlet board HERE.

4. Planning and Producing a 1-2-minute Digital Story to Promote Wellness (with a community partner).
Your instructor will introduce you to your community partner and the issue for this assignment.
To plan and produce your digital story, use the following Digital Storytelling Guidebook developed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (US) which covers:
-- Generating a list of creative story ideas (brainstorming with peers)
--Storyboarding your idea
--Writing a script
--Collecting images, sounds, and media
--Producing the digital story
--Editing your work
--Creating closed captioning
--Sharing your digital story
